MODSNOW Training at Kyrgyzhydromet and CAIAG

In the frame of the CAWa-Green project, implemented as part of the Green Central Asia initiative to Central Asia, the MODSNOW technical training was conducted for the employees of the Central Asian Institute of Applied Geosciences and the National Hydrometeorological Service of Kyrgyzstan (Kyrgyzhydromet).

Second WUEMoCA User Forum in Uzbekistan

From 7th to 8th of November 2019, the second WUEMoCA (“Water Use Efficiency Monitor in Central Asia”) User Forum meeting, following the first one in 2015, took place in Tashkent (Uzbekistan). The meeting brought together 30 representatives from the irrigation water management of all five Central Asian countries, and from international organizations.

CAWa Summer School 2019: Call for Applications

The Call for applications for the annual CAWa Summer School "Methods and Tools for the Assessment and Monitoring of Central Asian Water and Land Resources" has been opened. Please submit your documents by 28 May 2019. The Summer School is the sixth in a row and will be held from 8 to 19 July 2019 at the German-Kazakh University in Almaty.

International Symposium on Water and Land Resources in Central Asia, held in Almaty from 9th to 11th November 2018.

From 9th to 11th October, 2018 the “International Symposium on Water and Land Resources in Central Asia“ took place in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The scientific conference was organized in the framework of the „Central Asia Water“ (CAWa) project, as part of the German Initiative for Central Asia (“Berlin Process”) and was funded by the German Federal Foreign Office (grant no. AA7090002).
