CAWa - Central Asian Water

Within the framework of the "CLIMWATER" project (Climate Impact Assessment on Water Resources in Uzbekistan; implications to agricultural and hydropower sectors), funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research of Germany and the Agency for Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, The School of Young Scientists was organized between July 23-25, 2023 at the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers (TIIAME), National Research University (NRU).

Within the framework of the CAWa-Green project and as part of the "Green Central Asia" program, the 5th Tashkent Water Security Lectures (TWSL) took place on 15 December 2022.
 

Integration of scientific knowledge on water and land resources into policy dialogue on climate change adaptation in Central Asia

In the framework of the ‘Green Central Asia’ Initiative and celebrating 30 years of diplomatic relations between Germany and Central Asia, from June 25 to July 2, 2022 .

The Call for applications for the annual CAWa Summer School "Linking scientific knowledge of water and land resources management into decision making support in Central Asia" has been opened. Please submit your documents by 15 June 2022. The Summer School is the eighth in a row and will be held from 11 to 20 July 2022 at the German-Kazakh University in Almaty.
